Taylor Swift to perform at MTV Video Music Awards

The singer announced it during her appearance on The Tonight Show, during which she also participated in Jimmy Fallon's "Ewww" segment.

Taylor Swift will perform at the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards from The Forum in Inglewood, California, on Sunday, August 24.

The singer made the announcement during Wednesday's episode of The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. It will mark her fourth VMA performance.

The two-time Best Female Video VMA award winner joins previously announced performers: Beyonce, Ariana Grande, Usher, Maroon 5, Iggy Azalea, Nicki Minaj and 5 Seconds of Summer.

Other VMA performers and presenters will be announced at a later date.

Swift, 24, is a seven-time Grammy winner, and is the youngest artist to have won a Grammy for Album of the Year.

• The 2014 MTC Video Music Awards will be broadcast in the UAE on August 25, at 22:25pm.
