Sting to release album based on musical

Sting will release a new album on September 24, his first full-length compilation of original material since 2003's Sacred Love. Titled The Last Ship, the album is based out of the songwriting Sting has been doing for a musical of the same name, set to premiere in Broadway in 2014, said his publicist. The musical is a homecoming story set in the 1980s, in a shipyard in Wallsend, England, the town where Sting was born. The 61-year-old artist has been working on the project for three years. - IANS

Tatum and wife Jenna have a baby girl

Channing Tatum will be juggling acting with diaper duty: he and his wife Jenna Dewan-Tatum have a daughter to dote on. Everly Tatum was born last Friday in London, where her father is filming the movie Jupiter Ascending. This is the first child for the Tatums. They met on the set of the film Step Up and have been married since 2009. The couple co-starred in last year's 10 Years. Tatum's next film, White House Down, is scheduled for release later this month. - AP

Winslet expecting little rock 'n' roller

More Hollywood baby news: Kate Winslet is expecting her first child with her third husband Ned Rocknroll, whom she married last year. "Kate and Ned are delighted" at the news, a publicist told People magazine. The 37-year-old married Rocknroll - a nephew of the British tycoon Richard Branson - last December. Rocknroll, who changed his name from Abel Smith, works part-time for his uncle's space venture Virgin Galactic. Winslet has two children from her two previous marriages: 12-year-old Mia, whose father is the director Jim Threapleton, and 9-year-old Joe, the son of the director Sam Mendes. - AFP

Jennifer Love Hewitt also expecting child

Jennifer Love Hewitt and Brian Hallisay, who co-star on the series The Client List, are expecting their first child. In a statement, the couple said: "This is a wonderful time and we are looking forward to starting our family together." The 34-year-old actress was previously engaged to the Scottish actor Ross McCall. Hallisay, also 34, was a recurring character on the first season of The Client List. He became a regular this season. - AP

X Factor judge Tulisa held on drug claim

The singer and former X Factor UK judge Tulisa Contostavlos was arrested on Tuesday on allegations of supplying drugs. The arrest came after The Sun ran a story claiming the 24-year-old had acted as a go-between in a deal to sell cocaine. The Metropolitan Police said a 24-year-old woman and a 35-year-old man were arrested "on suspicion of being concerned with the supply of class A drugs". They were questioned at a London police station and later released on bail pending further inquiries. Police in Britain do not usually name people who have not been charged. The BBC and other major media outlets identified the suspect as Contostavlos, who came to fame with the London group N-Dubz. - AP
