Relentless tagger getting riskier

Whoever this plucky painter is, she/he is certainly becoming more bold. On the hunt to find out more about this anonymous writer, I've noticed that the tagger - spottable by the little triangle used as a byline on each piece - has moved out of just hitting up Al Barsha and gone right to the nerve centre of the city.

This is from a makeshift industrial walkway that's on Sheikh Zayed Road, just near the HSBC on the main strip. In case you can't read it from the wobbly job on my cameraphone, it says "Self-righteous machines all quietly watching over us." Might be a reference to Richard Brautigan's poetry collection,

All Watched Over By Machines of Loving Grace

? Either way, it's a cut above "Mahmood woz 'ere."

And then there's this jolly musing near the Knowledge Village tunnel in Media City. Looks like the tagger was disturbed or made an embarrassing misspell because the last word has been smeared over...

If you spot any more turning up in your yard (as said, identifiable by the little triangle) then please do drop me an email to clord@thenational.ae. Include a little snap as well if you can.

It's worth noting that this person tends to express themselves on very temporary stuff around town (corrugated iron sheets, wooden walkways, etc) so chances are they'll be gone fairly soon.
