Further tests will be needed to determine what exactly caused the death of the American comedian Joan Rivers, according to the New York City medical examiner.
The 81-year-old died on Thursday at Manhattan’s Mount Sinai Hospital. She had been in a coma since August 28, when she went into cardiac arrest during a routine throat procedure at a doctor’s office. Her funeral will be held today in New York. The services will be private.
