The Abu Dhabi F1 Grand Prix will turn Pink this November, with the US pop star confirmed as the artist who will perform at the event's race day concert on Sunday, November 26.
Joining her as part of the annual after-race concert series, to be held at Yas Island’s du Arena, will be Calvin Harris.
The Scottish DJ and producer will headline the first of the four concerts on Thursday, November 23.
The announcement was made on Tuesday, July 4, at Yas Mall by the F1 concert series promoters Flash Entertainment.
The remaining two concerts acts, to run on November 24 and 25, will be revealed at a later date.
Access to the concerts is only available for those purchasing tickets for that race day.
Both artists are returning to the UAE with new music in their pockets.
The 37-year-old Pink, whose real name Alecia Moore, kicked off a mini world tour on July 2 with stand-alone concerts and festival appearances in North America and Europe.
As well performing the hits from her 20-year career, including the chart toppers Get the Party Started, Raise Your Glass and So What, Pink should drop the recent single Waterfall - her collaboration with Australian pop-star and Norwegian production duo Stargate - and the Grammy nominated Just Like Fire – recorded as part of the soundtrack's for Alice Through the Looking Glass starring Johnny Depp.
Her Abu Dhabi performance is her first concert in the UAE in just over a decade, with her previous gig was a near sold-out show at the Dubai Media City Amphitheatre in September 2007.
Calvin Harris is familiar with du Arena, having performed at the mammoth venue in front of 20,000 people as part of the 2013 edition of the dance festival Creamfields.
One of the most financially successful EDM producers of all time, the 34-year-old topped Forbes Magazine's list of highest paid DJs for three consecutive years (2003 to 2015) having reportedly earned over $150 million (Dh550 million) in that period, courtesy of big selling hits such as his Rhianna collaboration This is What You Came For and Under Control featuring Hurts and constant touring.
Last week Harris released his latest album, Funk Wav Bounces Vol.1, featuring some of the biggest hip-hop names including Nicki Minaj, Migos, Future and School Boy Q.

Yemen's Bahais and the charges they often face
The Baha'i faith was made known in Yemen in the 19th century, first introduced by an Iranian man named Ali Muhammad Al Shirazi, considered the Herald of the Baha'i faith in 1844.
The Baha'i faith has had a growing number of followers in recent years despite persecution in Yemen and Iran.
Today, some 2,000 Baha'is reside in Yemen, according to Insaf.
"The 24 defendants represented by the House of Justice, which has intelligence outfits from the uS and the UK working to carry out an espionage scheme in Yemen under the guise of religion.. aimed to impant and found the Bahai sect on Yemeni soil by bringing foreign Bahais from abroad and homing them in Yemen," the charge sheet said.
Baha'Ullah, the founder of the Bahai faith, was exiled by the Ottoman Empire in 1868 from Iran to what is now Israel. Now, the Bahai faith's highest governing body, known as the Universal House of Justice, is based in the Israeli city of Haifa, which the Bahais turn towards during prayer.
