Nicolas Forzy will be signing copies of his literary debut at Kinokuniya Book World in The Dubai Mall on Friday, October 10.
The Frenchman's work, Alphanumeric, is a young adult-fiction supernatural thriller where Stu, a dyslexic teenager, is transported to a world populated by numbers and letters. With Stu's arrival triggering a destructive prophecy, he must teach a young vowel how to count to survive.
"With AlphaNumeric, I wanted to present numeracy and literacy as superpowers," he said.
“I wanted readers to feel that the characters were using their imagination or their logic as an amped-up manifestation of their intelligence. This way, I could associate intelligence with strength, because the smarter you are, the more you can do in this world.”
