The Huddle Sports Bar and Grill in CityMax, Al Barsha, is launching Dubai’s newest pub quiz this week.
The quiz will run from 8pm-10pm every Monday and entry is free. Vouchers for The Huddle are up for grabs, worth Dh150 for the team in third place, Dh350 for the runners-up and Dh1,000 for the winners.
The quiz will be hosted by DAA High School history teacher and trivia fan Lars Hansen, who has honed his quizzing skills at venues in the UK, Australia, Al Ain and Texas, where he began hosting his first quiz in Austin.
Each week there will be five rounds of 10 questions in the categories of current affairs, entertainment, sports and a general-knowledge “boffins” round, with a bit of music and mystery thrown in.
Hansen promises plenty of fun too, saying: “Life can seem too serious - It’s time to Trivialars!”
