Ed Sheeran’s new concert-docu film will get a full cinematic release in the UAE.
Entitled Jumpers for Goalposts, the movie captures the 24-year-old star's record-breaking, three-night sell-out run at Wembley Stadium in London this summer.
The 98-minute film, which mixes live performance clips with candid backstage footage, will be screened in major cinemas, including Vox, Reel and Novo, on Thursday, October 22 at 11pm.
Performed to a combined audience of 240,000 over three nights, July’s Wembley run is reportedly the largest series of headline gigs ever hosted by a musician performing solo.
They marked the climax of Sheeran's X tour, in support of his album of the same name, which visited Dubai Media City in March. Read our review of the show here.
Sheeran has been streamed on YouTube an incredible two billion times, and clocked global album sales of 17 million.
Wondering about the title, Jumpers for Goalposts?
“It’s because we keep moving them,” quipped Sheeran in the trailer, after boasting about a pizza date with Beyoncé and Jay Z.
