Palestinian pop star Mohammed Assaf is to perform at Dubai’s Global Village.
The February 5 concert comes as the former Arab Idol's fame reaches its latest peak, following the recent UAE cinema release of biopic The Idol.
Assaf thrilled thousands of fans with a free live performance at the film’s regional premiere, at the Dubai International Film Festival last month.
Now the 26-year-old singer is back to sing under the stars as part of Global Village’s 20th season festivities.
The performance takes place on the attraction’s main cultural stage, on February 5 at 9pm, and is free to anyone with a general admission ticket to the complex (Dh15).
As well as his musical talents, Asaf is known as a goodwill ambassador for peace by The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA).
Pervious artists to perform at the cultural and shopping attraction are Emirati singer Abdullah Belkhair to Palestinian artist Manal Mousa.
