Miranda Davidson Studios (MDS) has some local celebrities lined up to greet guests at its forthcoming open day.

The casting agency and acting school will be hosting a promotional open house on Wednesday September 9, from 6.30pm till 9pm at The Space, twofour54, Abu Dhabi.

The Egyptian comedian, actor and producer Ahmed Ahmed, Korean/Saudi comedian and From A to B star Wonho Chung and Emirati actress Mahra Mostafa (The Family Tree), who will be available to chat about their own experiences in the entertainment industry alongside staff from MDS itself.

MDS is perhaps best-known for its work on casting Furious 7, which shot in Abu Dhabi last year and set box offices alight following its release in May. It also recently held a casting call for an unspecified feature due to shoot imminently in Dubai. Although there has been no official confirmation, all signs point to Star Trek Beyond.

The event is informal and no invitation is required, though it is clearly intended to publicise a new series of classes MDS will be launching, starting on October 4 and covering subjects including screen acting, on-camera presenting and public speaking, also at The Space.
