Reality TV star Khloé Kardashian’s recent trip to Dubai has arguably been a controversial one.
The 30-year-old flew to the UAE, appearing at a hair show on Monday, May 25 and Beautyworld Middle East 2015 on Tuesday, where she unveiled to the region the range of haircare products and styling tools, called Kardashian Beauty Hair, a brand she has developed with her sisters Kim and Kourtney. Since then, however, social media pages were alight with Khloé's escapades across the city and photos she posted – namely where she wears a niqab – on Instagram.
The latest images to emerge have drawn further ire from fans and international media alike, not least pictures of a baby tiger nuzzling her cheek.
With more than 740,000 having liked or commented on the post at the time of publishing, it was clear not all were in support of it. Particularly given Kardashian’s former role as a spokesperson for the animal rights organization, PETA or People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals.
Other snaps published by Kardashian on her trip include one of her feeding green shoots to a giraffe at an undisclosed location, wearing an abaya-like garment, with the caption ‘Day dreaming with Henry’.
This was followed up by a photo of Khloe holding a baby orangutan, with a designer moniker. The star wrote: "My new best friend, Dior!!! I had the most incredible day!! Thank you @SarahRashid13 for such a blessed experience! #MyDubai."
The identity of the lady named as Sarah Rashid, with a closed Instagram account, remains unconfirmed.
Completing the animal album line-up is a photograph of Kardashian, post hair and make-up session, in the opulent underwater suite at Atlantis, The Palm, which costs Dh30,000 a night. Clearly a fan of her surroundings, Kardashian uploaded a shot of herself peering in at a stingray, saying the following about a new aquatic friend:
“I love this hair style @jenatkinhair did on me!! At first I was iffy on it but I have to learn to remember how talented she is...She just gets me. @1maryphillips you’re a bad mamma Jamma I have a sting ray as a boyfriend now due to the gorgeous makeup you do.”
