Justin Bieber flew from Europe back to Los Angeles on Tuesday and got into an argument with one of his neighbours – the latest in a series of odd incidents involving the singer. Deputies were called to Bieber's house on Tuesday after a neighbour claimed he had been threatened and struck by the 19-year-old singer. A police report alleging battery and threats by Bieber had been filed. The alleged altercation took place after the singer flew overnight from Poland, startling Lodz airport officials by stripping off his shirt on a freezing evening as he walked through security and to his private jet. The incident follows Bieber's odd behaviour during his European tour, including wearing a gas mask on a night out. TMZ.com reported the dispute was provoked by Bieber driving a newly delivered Ferrari up and down the street at high speed on Tuesday morning. – Reuters
Timberlake's album sells 968K in 1st week
Justin Timberlake's comeback album has sold nearly a million units in its first week out. Nielsen -SoundScan said the album, The 20/20 Experience, has sold 968,000 units. His label RCA Records had projected that 20/20 would sell 500,000 to 600,000 units. Timberlake, 31, was strategic about promoting his comeback effort: he performed at the Grammys, hosted Saturday Night Live and spent an entire week on the talk show Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. – AP
Dress in white, Psy tells his fans
The South Korean rapper Psy wants his fans to turn up in white at his April concert where he will launch a new song that he hopes will cement the success of Gangnam Style. "See this pic and let's be white on 0413", Psy posted on Twitter, referring to the April 13 concert to be held in Seoul. He then posed in a variety of white clothing, ranging from a spacesuit to tennis whites. Psy has not yet revealed what song he will release. Last week, he announced his next song will be titled Assarabia but quickly retracted and said he would change it over worries it could offend Arabs. – Reuters
Mirren up for Best Actress at Olivier
Helen Mirren received another accolade for her performance as Queen Elizabeth II on Tuesday – a Best Actress nomination at Britain's Olivier theatre awards. Mirren is nominated for The Audience, alongside Billie Piper for The Effect and Kristin Scott Thomas for Old Times. The Best Actor nominees include Rupert Everett for his turn as Oscar Wilde in The Judas Kiss and James McAvoy for Macbeth. Other nominees include Michael Ball and Imelda Staunton for Sweeney Todd. Pretty Little Liars gets a spin-off
The US network ABC Family is banking on its biggest hit Pretty Little Liars, green-lighting it for a fifth season and approving a spin-off. The new show, Ravenswood, will follow five strangers whose lives become intertwined by a deadly curse that has plagued their town for generations. It’s scheduled to premiere in October. Pretty Little Liars, which broadcasts on MBC4 in the UAE, returns for its fourth season in June. – AP
