Jacqueline Fernandez took some time off from shooting the movie Dishoom in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday to take in the heady heights of Dubai. She was snapped posing with a cheeky wink and a smile just before she went skydiving over Dubai's Palm Jumeirah.

Fernandez posted on Instagram a video of herself in a frenzy of excitement, just before taking the plunge. She wrote: "Me before #skydivedubaitoday!! #marius my awesome instructor@shaanmu @supersonex@narola_c_jamir @rajendder5 I never thought I could do this but I did it!!!! #imalive#overcomeyourfears #liveyourlife."

Skydiving is a favourite pastime of celebs when they’re in Dubai - Shah Rukh Khan and Abhishek Bachachan have also taken the plunge together with Skydive Dubai, as have Hollywood pals Will Smith and Tyrese Gibson.

Earlier in the day, Fernandez sported swept back curls in her hair for a Filmfare Middle East magazine photoshoot.

She has also been busy taking in Dubai’s dining scene - at Fumé, the vintage-style Asian restaurant at Pier 7 in Dubai Marina, and also at Coya in the Four Seasons Resort, in Jumeirah. Fernandez was accompanied for both meals by her manager, Sonu Lakhwani.

Fernandez’s Indonesian fan club spotted her on Wednesday at Dubai airport, wearing some funky copper disc headphones around her neck. She also posed for pictures with a fan, again winking into the lens with a smile.

Meanwhile, back in Abu Dhabi, Fernandez's Dishoom co-stars John Abraham and Varun Dhawan have been busy shooting scenes on one of the most exclusive getaway islands. Dhawan tweeted:

“On shoot for #dishoom @ZayaNurai, luxury island resort in Abu Dhabi, amazing place #nuraiisland.”
