How and where to get your One Direction Dubai tickets

Everything you need to know about collecting tickets for the biggest concert the region has ever seen, at Dubai Sevens Stadium on April 4.

Ticket collection details have been announced for One Direction’s upcoming concert at Dubai’s Sevens Stadium.

The April 4 performance is set to be the biggest live event ever held in the region, with 32,500 tickets sold out in just four weeks when they went on sale last May.

Ticket collection details have not been revealed until now, in a bid to curb illegal ticket piracy or re-selling.

However organisers have confirmed there will no pre-arranged shuttle buses to or from the concert, and are encouraging concert goers to travel by car or taxi, and car pool where possible.

As of today (Sunday, March 8), any customer who bought tickets online should have received an email confirmation. Those who bought tickets in store at Virgin Megastore will need their till receipt.

Tickets will be available to collect in person from 10am on Wednesday, March 11 in the UAE. Dates vary for customers in Qatar and Bahrain.

However all Virgin Megastore customers, both online and in person, need to collect their tickets in a two-week window before March 25.

Customers collecting tickets will also be issued with event specific information, that includes recommended driving routes to the event, show times and safety advice.

Thomas Ovesen, chief operating officer of concert promoters Done Events urged concert goers to keep an eye on www.doneevents.com and the 1D Dubai official Facebook for updates.

He said: “The planning for the event is going very well, and we are looking forward to putting on amazing show for Dubai and the UAE.”

Time Out Tickets customers:

Advance collection opens from 9am on Wednesday March 11, at the Time Out Tickets outlet, located at the rear side of Building 14, Dubai Media City.

Only the person who made the purchase can collect the tickets. The buyer needs to present their online order confirmation in addition to one of the three following forms of identification: Emirates ID card, driver’s licence or passport.

Customers who selected at the time of the purchase to collect tickets from the venue box office are still able to collect their tickets in advance, and are encouraged to do so to avoid congestion on the concert day. The venue box office will be open from noon on the day of the concert.

For customers who requested secure delivery of their tickets, deliveries will begin from Wednesday March 11. However certain locations, such as Yas Island, Saadiyat Island, Khalifa City, Al Raha, Al Reef and Madinat Zayed are ‘Out of Delivery Areas’. Any tickets that are undelivered will be available for collection from the venue box office on the day of the event.

Virgin Megastores customers

Tickets are available to collect for just two weeks between Wednesday March 11 and Wednesday March 25 from either The Dubai Mall or Yas Mall, depending on the below.

If tickets were bought in person at any Virgin Megastore in Dubai, or online and the “Dubai store” collection option was selected, tickets will be available for collection from Virgin Megastore, The Dubai Mall.

If tickets were bought in person at any Virgin Megastore in Abu Dhabi, or online and the “Abu Dhabi store” collection option was selected, tickets will be available for collection at Virgin Megastore, Yas Mall.

Tickets bought in Qatar can be collected from Virgin Megastore, Villaggio Mall, from Sunday March 15 to Monday March 30.

Tickets bought in Bahrain can be collected from Virgin Megastore, City Centre, from Sunday March 15 to Monday March 30.

For online customers only the person who made the purchase can collect the tickets. The buyer needs to present their online order confirmation in addition to one of the three following forms of identification: Emirates ID card, driver’s licence or passport.

In-store customers need to bring the original stamped store receipt, or stamped store E-tickets, in addition to Emirates ID or a passport copy of the person who bought the tickets. Copies of tickets or store receipts will not be accepted.
