Get your fix of live music at one of the UAE’s most buzzing venues - Dubai International Airport

An airport might not strike music fans as the most obvious of concert venues – but that’s precisely where several of the UAE’s best artists have been invited to perform as part of a new series of free gigs.

Passengers passing through the aptly named Zen Garden at Dubai International Airport’s Concourse B can expect be serenaded by a mix of jazz, pop and funk from some of the UAE’s best players.

Upcoming performers include groove stalwarts Abri & Funk Radius on December 5 and upbeat revivalists Swing Revue on December 9. Dubbed MusicDXB, the series will continue with rock and pop classics from Sound City on December 12 and soulful sounds from The 808’s on December 16.

“We’ve selected very talented artists who represent various genres and cultures, much like the customers we serve and the city we call home,” said Anita Mehra, vice president of communication and business development at Dubai Airports.

Other UAE acts, or artists passing through Dubai who are interested in performing in the series, should contact musicDXB@dubaiairports.ae.
