Four reasons to watch Kill Dil

  • English
  • Arabic

1

Parineeti's got style

Tired of being trashed by fashion websites for her frumpy/garish outfits, Parineeti Chopra hired the Bollywood stylist Nitasha Gaurav. She has since been spotted wearing international designers everywhere, from award sceremonies to press conferences in malls. In

Kill Dil

, the 26-year-old actress sports chic short skirts and cropped tops.

2

Govinda plays a baddy

Hailed for his comic timing and skills on the dance floor, Govinda plays a menacing crime lord who also happens to be nimble-toed (Govinda dances in all his movies). The 50-year-old actor says he wasn't sure whether he could pull off a villainous role after playing the good guy in more than 160 films, but his co-stars can't stop praising his work. Lead actor Singh compares Govinda with Johnny Depp, and says he is "one of the greatest and most flamboyant performers".

3

The funny streak

Shaad Ali is a soft-spoken filmmaker with an unexpectedly wicked sense of humour, which he has reportedly used to full effect in

Kill Dil

. The film's screenplay is by adman and director Nitesh Tiwari (

Chillar Party

, 2011;

Bhoothnath Returns

, 2014), another creative talent known for his smart comedies.

4

The evolution of Ali Zafar

Ali Zafar is a Pakistani singer and actor who made it big in Bollywood with his starring roles in romcoms such as

Tere Bin Laden

(2010) and

Mere Brother Ki Dulhan

(2011). In a recent interview, he said he hopes his turn in

Kill Dil

will change his "lover-boy image". Zafar has taken to the gangster look with much gusto - he wears flashy clothes and spouts Hindi dialogue in a guttural Mumbai-Uttar Pradesh accent.
