European Film Screenings returns for a third year

The European Film Screenings returns to Abu Dhabi and Dubai for its third season from October 19-27, at the Novo Cinemas in the capital’s World Trade Centre Mall and Dubai’s Ibn Battuta Mall.

The event is run in collaboration with some of the major European embassies in the UAE, and this year will feature a dedicated Arab-European film section alongside the best from the Old Continent.

Schedules won’t be released until late September, but Alessandra Priante, founder and artistic director of the event, promises some treats: “The European Film Screenings is now settled as one of the most appreciated community events in the UAE, something which makes us very grateful and proud. With almost 20 films from all of Europe to the UAE audiences, we aim at reinforcing the important cultural dialogue existing the UAE, the Arab culture and Europe through the language of cinema.

Following the success of the previous two editions and strengthening the relation with Novo Cinemas, this year we are very proud to announce the partnership with the European Film Academy and with Eurimages, who have decided to stand by us and allow us to secure some of the best and most internationally awarded European films in circulation.”

All films are free to attend on a first-come-first-served basis. Keep up to date on Facebook at the European Film Screenings page
