Dave Mathews Band: tracklist for beginners

  • English
  • Arabic

Dave Matthews Band will take to the du Arena stage this Thursday for their first ever UAE performance. Seasoned fans will have their own personal favourites to look forward to, but for the newbies among us, we’ve come up with crash course of some of the band’s greatest tracks:

1. Ants Marching (1994)

Start the listening experience off right with a song that embodies the quintessential Dave Matthews Band sound.

2. Tripping Billies (1996)

If you’re looking for a “feel good” track, this is it.

3. The Space Between (2001)

Let’s slow things down a bit with the band’s closest brush with prog-rock. Luckily, the notorious three chords have been (mostly) left out ...

4. What Would You Say (1994)

A hearty dose of funk and a clear display of Matthews’ stellar guitar skills.

5. Don’t Drink The Water (2007)

A slower tune and great for those who love some sweet sax jazz riffs served up with a side of … banjo.

6. Everyday (2001)

A charming, light and catchy tune that is sure to have you swaying in your seats.

7. Satellite (1993)

If you’re going to listen to one tune before the concert, this is it. Perhaps one of the band’s best-known tracks.

8. I Did It (2001)

The band first released this single on Napster, back in 2002, when that was still a “thing”. Bottom line: the song rocks and is most definitely worth a listen.

9. Say Goodbye (1996)

Sure this song includes the jazz flute, but its chill vocals and altogether laid-back vibe makes up for that.

10. Two Step (1996)

My personal favourite and yet another song that will have you out of your seat, dancing.
