Dark Tide
Director: John Stockwell
Starring: Halle Berry, Olivier Martinez and Ralph Brown

The director John Stockwell's prowess for shooting scenes in the water was showcased in 2002's Blue Crush and 2005's Into the Blue. Yet no amount of breathtaking cinematography can save Dark Tide from its poor plot and dire dialogue.
Making matters worse, Halle Berry looks like a fish out of water every time she's called upon to act.
She plays a tour guide who gives up swimming with sharks when a fellow diver is killed. A year later and on the verge of bankruptcy, she's persuaded by her ex-boyfriend (Olivier Martinez) to take an arrogant, rich English man (Ralph Brown) and his teenager son (Luke Tyler) out to dive with sharks.
Inevitably they run into trouble. Who will survive? Not the audience's interest, that's for sure.
