The teaser trailer for Akshay Kumar’s new drama Baby is out – a 22-second, fast-paced montage of the actor in behind-the-scenes action sequences – packed with fights, explosions and gun shots – in Abu Dhabi’s Liwa Desert as well as at various locations in New Delhi, Istanbul and Nepal.
The Bollywood star took to Facebook earlier today to announce the release of the teaser.
“Watch out for the exclusive #Babysizzle coming your way at 12pm. Feel the rush #BabyTheFilm,” said the actor’s post.
The cast, including Anupam Kher and the Telugu actor Rana Daggubati, were in Abu Dhabi on two separate schedules September through November.
Kumar recently told The National he will be back in Abu Dhabi in May next year to film Airlift, a Hindi drama set during the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait in 1990.
I was just speaking to my producer about the experience here,” said Kumar. “I’ve shot in many other places and in Abu Dhabi it’s very clean and clear. You pay, you shoot, nobody’s going to stop you, nothing happens under the table, there’s no playing around. It’s all crystal clear. I love that.”
Baby is directed by Neeraj Pandey and is due out on January 22 in the UAE and on January 23 in India. THe "first look" trailer will be out on December 3.
