We've got some shots through of Cai Guo-Qiang's performance piece in Qatar that took place on December 5. Incredible images here, playing on the artist's use of gunpowder in his work. Eight thousand and three hundred black smoke shells were used in this piece, commissioned by Mathaf: Arab Museum of Modern Art, covering an explosion area of 29,500 sqm. The performance lasted three minutes, and was scheduled to coincide with the launch of Guo-Qiang's solo show in the museum, that continues until May 26.
