Having dropped an atomic bomb off the coast of Gotham, Christian Bale could now be set for further watery antics when he parts the Red Sea as Moses.
According to reports Ridley Scott's biblical retelling entitled Exodus is moving forward, with Bale lined up to play the Prophet with the all-important commandments.
The new comes shortly after Steven Spielberg departed from Warner Bros' rival project Gods and Kings, which has been described as more Braveheart-style epic biopic than Scott's detailed examination. Ang Lee is said to be top of the wish-list to replace Spielberg.
Interestingly, Bale was also tipped to player the titular role in Darren Aronofsky's Noah (perhaps it's the beard?), but that eventually went to Russell Crowe. Let's just hope that, should his Moses role get etched in stone, Bale doesn't go all Charlton Heston (ie, NRA) on us afterwards.
