The makers of The Brain That Sings, the DIFF People’s Choice Award-winning documentary following the journey of two young autistic boys in the UAE as they undergo three months of music therapy, is raising funds to take the film out to communities in the UAE, including to non-traditional screening spaces in schools or community centres, where special needs children and their families who may find it difficult to visit the cinema can see the film.
The team are raising money for the project throught he Zoomal Women Pioneers' Challenge, where they have just 30 days to raise their $10,000 target. They are both seeking crowd funding from the community and offering corporate sponsorship packages for larger organisations.
Director Amal Al Aghroobi says: “Do you know anyone who has a special needs, sick or autistic child? Those are the people that need to see this film.I’m sure there are loads out there that need to see this film but have not and will not get chance. Please help us launch this nationwide campaign!”
