Jamal Taslaq
A Palestinian designer based in Italy who dresses women across three continents. Among his top clients, Taslaq counts American actress Sharon Stone, Italian movie star Ornella Muti and Queen Rania of Jordan.
Turk Jadallah
A graduate of the London College of Fashion, Saudi designer Turk Jadallah rose to fame when he won Best Designer in Lebanon's Project Fashion television programme in 2006. Since 2011, having partnered with the Kingdom's Ot Kutyr Fashion House, Jadallah has been creating seasonal ready-to-wear and couture lines.
Abed Mahfouz
In the early 2000s, Lebanese designer Mahfouz debuted his first bridal collection before officially launching his couture label at Alta Roma in Italy. In 2009, he added ready-to-wear evening gowns to his portfolio. His dresses have since been worn by the likes of model Irina Shayk and singer Carrie Underwood.
Sheikha Alanoud Alattiya
Since she first established her Doha-based label Tiiya, Sheikha Alanoud Alattiya gained a regional reputation for high-impact, sculptural haute-couture gowns. Her pieces were stocked in Harrods as early as 2009 and her label’s autumn collection at Arab Fashion Week will comprise tulle, taffeta and brocade gowns styled with 100-year-old vintage Japanese obi belts.
