The Yas Hotel was just debuted at the Arabian Travel Market in Dubai by
Aldar Properties
. The new hotel, with 252 deluxe and 247 rooms, will be one of seven on the island. Yas Island will host the Formula 1 Grand Prix next November.
The architects are Hani Rashid and Lise Anne Couture of
Asymptote Architecture
. According to the release:
The hotel features a gridshell structure, that incorporates a striking veil of steel and glass featuring programmed lighting and image sequences, which fuse the two sections that span both the circuit and the marina. A bridge stretches between the Main building and the Marina Tower, enclosing a bar and restaurant with executive level bridge that will house a rotating exhibition of contemporary artwork by Emirati and GCC artists.
