The veteran actor Kamal Haasan's wide-eyed younger daughter Akshara Haasan (older sister Shruti Haasan is already established in the Hindi film industry), makes her acting debut with Shamitabh.
In the film, Haasan portrays a film director who, going by the trailers, is a potential love interest for Dhanush’s character.
“You’ve no idea,” she says, shaking her head at the thought of having shared screen space with Dhanush and Amitabh Bachchan. “I was terrified on set, every single day. I used to have this big smile on my face, but inwardly I’d be full of fear. I was overwhelmed. But they put me at ease, and I learnt so much from them. They gave me lots of tips and advice, which really helped. It was a remarkable experience.
“Dad said to give it my 100 per cent, my best shot. I’ve done that. Now it’s time for the audience to decide.”
