Aishwarya extends Cannes stay for amFar

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has extended her stay in Cannes to attend a fashion show by the American Foundation for AIDS Research (amFar). The Ultimate Gold Collection Fashion Show will see the actress walking the red carpet in a gold outfit designed by Tarun Tahiliani. Bachchan, who is at Cannes as the brand ambassador of L'Oréal Paris, is a staunch supporter of amFar and has attended the post-festival fashion show numerous times. This year, there will be 40 models showcasing a collection of gold gowns and jewellery from fashion houses across the globe. – IANS

India-South Korea relations stronger

An Indian film festival will be held in Seoul, the South Korean capital, from Friday until Tuesday to celebrate 40 years of diplomatic ties between the two nations. Lage Raho Munnabhai opens the festival. A similar festival was held in Busan, featuring Bollywood films including Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, Rockstar, Fashion and Jab We Met. – IANS

Ranbir Kapoor keen to be part of TV

Speaking on the TV show Pyaar Ka Dard Hai Meetha Meetha, Pyaara Pyaara, the actor said he is waiting for a solid opportunity. "If I get a good offer, I would love to be a part of TV," he said. "Television is one of the biggest platforms today, one of the most entertaining platforms. But I haven't got an offer yet." Kapoor also quashed rumours of an appearance in a Zoya Akhtar film."I haven't been offered any such film," he said. "I am now shooting Besharam and Bombay Velvet. After that comes Imtiaz Ali's next movie." – IANS
