A trip to space and private circus on Valentine’s wishlist for high-flying UAE residents

For hopeless romantics, pulling out all the stops to take their loved ones to space isn’t such a farfetched concept.

Lifestyle management firm Quintessentially Lifestyle has revealed that not even the most outrageous idea for a Valentine’s gift is off the table for residents in the UAE.

From the more restrained requests of a VIP shopping evening at Gucci after the store closes to private jet trips with breakfast in the Seychelles and lunch in the Maldives, the company’s elite members are ready to pay millions for their Valentine this year.

And while a trip to the moon may be impossible to organise at the moment, Angelina Gil Seed, the head of corporate contracts at Quintessentially Lifestyle, says they manage to recreate an experience as close as possible to the member’s desire.

“Even that we were able to turn it around and create an experience along with Nasa and with a meet and greet with extremely famous astronauts.”

This year, the company has put together a private circus for a Dubai resident whose girlfriend loves wildcats.

“One of our interesting requests this year was from a UAE resident who wanted to surprise his girlfriend on Valentine’s Day. We will set up an entire private circus with wildcats and animal trainers for the night for her to participate in,” says Gil-Seed.

“Some of our members are ultra-high net-worth individuals, who are extremely successful in their careers but pressed for time. So if they have the imagination we can create it for them.”

Another challenging request that the lifestyle creators are in the process of putting together is a more thoughtful money can’t buy experience for a UAE member’s wife, who is celebrating her birthday on Valentine’s Day.

“We have asked a lifestyle manager from each of our global offices to stand next to an iconic landmark, dressed in their traditional attire with a Happy Birthday sign and the name of our member on it, which we will then be presenting to her.”

In the past, the company has also arranged to close down Times Square for a movie-style marriage proposal and organise an extravagant showcase of fireworks for a couple in a private villa on The Palm.​
