The year 1995 feels like yesterday, but its classic films are clocking up milestone anniversaries this year. Apollo 13 blasted on to our screens 20 years ago, Pierce Brosnan made his debut as 007 and Buzz Lightyear burst into our lives. Here are 20 films that are leaving their teens behind in 2015.

• Jagged Little Pill by Alanis Morissette was the best-selling album of the year

• Christopher Reeve was paralysed (May 27)

• South Africa won the Rugby World Cup in Johannesburg (June 24)

• Hugh Grant was arrested for lewd conduct (June 27)

• The Macarena was written by the duo Los Del Rio, who were inspired by a flamenco dancer they saw in Venezuela

• O J Simpson's trial for murder began in January and continued until his acquittal in October

• The frappuccino was introduced in two flavours: coffee and mocha. Now Starbucks has more than 25 flavours
