Register to attend a screening of Manila in the Claws of Light at Cinema Space. The 1975 Lino Brocka-directed Filipino classic, based on the Edgardo M Reyes novel of the same name, has been newly restored. Julio (Bembel Roco), a young fisherman is robbed when he arrives in Manila, and is looking for his girlfriend Ligaya (Hilda Koronel). He takes on temporary jobs to get by and wanders the streets looking for his beloved.
