Winter Wonderland is coming to Al Maryah Island. The celebration will kick off in The Galleria with the opening of Santa’s Grotto on December 8, where children will get a chance to meet Santa. The mall will also host a continuous schedule of roaming performers, marching bands and more. Every Thursday starting December 8, guests will be treated to three nightly performances of Nutcracker that will help set the festive mood, while Fridays will be set aside for three performances of Jack Frost.
On Al Maryah Island's promenade, winter cottages will offer festive activities, including bauble decorating, cracker making and gingerbread house making. There will also be a skating rink, snow park, train rides and more. Scheduled shows on the promenade include Arctic Cirque (a North Pole voyage with circus performers), Alice in Winter Wonderland and The Snowman. There will also be special shows featuring characters from Frozen on December 16 and 23 at 3pm, 6pm and 8:30pm.
Performances will take place from December 8 to 30 from 3pm to 10pm. Brightly-coloured lights and a giant Santa sleigh on the promenade will round out the holiday setting. For more information, visit www.almaryahisland.ae
