Brides in the UAE will soon get the chance to say yes to the dress thanks to a new partnership between discovery+ and Starzplay, bringing the hit TLC reality show to the Middle East region for the first time.

Women who are due to be married can also get involved as Say Yes to the Dress Arabia is currently looking for brides-to-be to feature on the show, with producers Different Productions actively casting for Arab and international women who are engaged and are currently in the UAE.

While there’s no official date for the show yet, it is set to debut sometime in the first quarter of 2022 on Starzplay.

Say Yes to the Dress first came out in 2007, taking place in New York City’s Kleinfeld Bridal in Manhattan. The show profiles brides as they search for their perfect wedding dress with the help of staff members in the store.

Since the series started, the franchise has helped hundreds of brides find their perfect dress thanks to numerous spin-offs, including international versions in Australia, Canada, the UK and Malaysia.

“Brides across the Middle East are renowned for bringing an added flair to their wedding gowns. As one of TLC’s most popular franchises, we know that Say Yes to the Dress Arabia is going to be a hit, taking things one step further as it highlights the unique pizzazz that our regional brides will bring to the show,” says Francesco Perta, senior business development and distribution director, Middle East, Africa, Turkey and North-East Europe at Discovery.

Brides in the UAE who are due to be married and are yet to find their dream dress can register their interest in appearing on the show by sending their name, address and phone number to syttdcasting@differentproductions.tv.

Tips for job-seekers
  • Do not submit your application through the Easy Apply button on LinkedIn. Employers receive between 600 and 800 replies for each job advert on the platform. If you are the right fit for a job, connect to a relevant person in the company on LinkedIn and send them a direct message.
  • Make sure you are an exact fit for the job advertised. If you are an HR manager with five years’ experience in retail and the job requires a similar candidate with five years’ experience in consumer, you should apply. But if you have no experience in HR, do not apply for the job.
