The British pop-rock band Scouting for Girls will to the Emirates with a performance at the Dubai Opera on October 20.
The band have released four albums and singles include She's So Lovely, Heartbeat and This Ain't a Love Song.
“Scouting For Girls have a decade of successful albums and tours to their name along with some amazing hit songs that are streamed in their millions the world over,” said Jasper Hope, Dubai Opera’s chief executive. “They are the perfect band to bring a party atmosphere to Dubai Opera for our first ever fully flat-floor concert.”
In an interview with The National before their 2014 performance at Sandance, the band's bassist Greg Churchouse described the trio as a "Marmite band".
"You either love us or hate us," he told The National.
Guitarist and vocalist Roy Stride, bass player Greg Churchouse and drummer Peter Ellardre are childhood friends from London who formed Scouting for Girls in 2005 after building their name through MySpace.
They released their tenth anniversary edition of their debut in May and will be tour the UK from October to December after their Dubai performance.
It will be the first time the Dubai Opera is converted into a flat-floor concert hall.
Tickets go on sale Saturday, August 12 at 9am. Circle and box tickets will be available, with prices starting at Dh150.
