This summer, Saudi Arabia is hosting a jam-packed schedule of star-studded performances as part of an ongoing festival.
Jeddah Season: Sea & Culture, a 40-day programme held between June 8 and July 18, is bringing together a series of event, activities and shows, among which will include a concert from one of Lebanon's most renowned singers.
Ya Banat star Nancy Ajram will perform at Jeddah Waterfront on June 13 at 8.30pm, she revealed to her 20 million Instagram followers this week.
It will mark the first concert held in Saudi by Ajram, who welcomed her third child, daughter Lya, earlier this year.
The singer, who also serves as a judge on MBC's Arab Idol, is joined on a line-up of shows by regional performer such as Amr Diab, Wael Jassar, Ahlam and Mohammed Hamaki.
In total, the Sea and Culture festival feature more than 150 events over the course of its itinerary, including plays, art exhibitions and food pop-ups from restaurants such as Nobu and Zuma, dotted around locations across the city.
The festival forms part of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, which has a focus on boosting tourism and entertainment in the country.
As part of the initiative, festivalgoers who booked tickets online for Sea and Culture were able to secure an e-tourism visa at the same time, organisers revealed. Jeddah Season also hopes to create 20,000 job and volunteering opportunities for citizens during the course of the festivities.
The programme also contains street music shows and parades, visual arts displays, laser shows and exhibitions from galleries such as Art Jameel.
