Ed Sheeran breaks arm, putting Dubai show in jeopardy

The singer let the world know of his accident through his Instagram account

Singer Ed Sheeran has broken his arm, putting his upcoming Dubai concert in jeopardy.

"I've had a bit of a bicycle accident," he wrote on his Instagram page. "I'm currently waiting on some medical advice, which may affect some of my upcoming shows. Please stay tuned for further news."

"Ed Sheeran is about to start his Asian tour in Taipei and it ends at the Dubai Autism Rocks Arena. Once we have more updates and also any potential implications for the Dubai show, we will of course share with fans and readers - for now we wish Ed a speedy recovery," Thomas Ovesen, the chief executive of 117 Live, told The National.

The Asian leg of Sheeran's world tour was due to kick off on October 22. The pop star has another 14 concerts planned for 2017, including gigs in Japan, South Korea and Thailand. The Australian leg of his tour is booked for March 2018.
