The Lumineers are headlining a new multi-day music festival in Dubai early next year.
The roots rockers have been tapped to perform in the inaugural RedFestDXB to be held at the Dubai Media City Amphitheatre on February 13-14.
The group, hailing from Colorado, are not the only act on the bill with organisers Virgin Radio and Done Events promising a slew of big names covering pop, RnB and dance music.
In addition the main stage, the festival will also host a dance stage called The RedHouse catering to local club DJ’s.
Done Events chief executive officer Thomas Ovesen says the event has a lot to offer local and regional fans.
“We have long been wanting to give regional music fans their own dedicated live music event. The all day festival format backed by the most popular hit radio station in the market will assure fans the best of live music combined with a fun filled couple of days,” he says.
“In addition to a great and varied line up of artists we will introduce some exciting new event features including The RedHOUSE venue, great F&B options, chances of winning artist meet & greets and so much more than what a normal concert can ever offer.”

Tax authority targets shisha levy evasion
The Federal Tax Authority will track shisha imports with electronic markers to protect customers and ensure levies have been paid.
Khalid Ali Al Bustani, director of the tax authority, on Sunday said the move is to "prevent tax evasion and support the authority’s tax collection efforts".
The scheme’s first phase, which came into effect on 1st January, 2019, covers all types of imported and domestically produced and distributed cigarettes. As of May 1, importing any type of cigarettes without the digital marks will be prohibited.
He said the latest phase will see imported and locally produced shisha tobacco tracked by the final quarter of this year.
"The FTA also maintains ongoing communication with concerned companies, to help them adapt their systems to meet our requirements and coordinate between all parties involved," he said.
As with cigarettes, shisha was hit with a 100 per cent tax in October 2017, though manufacturers and cafes absorbed some of the costs to prevent prices doubling.
