If you’ve spent the past month wearing nothing but loungewear and pyjamas, it might be time to inject a little glamour back into your life.

Luckily, the latest social media challenge is here to help, encouraging users to recreate some of Hollywood’s most famous looks at home.

The #hollywoodathomechallenge tasks people with utilising whatever they have in their closet to transform themselves into some of history’s most recognisable movie characters.

The challenge was started by Jack Howard and Alex Moore, who hoped to encourage people to stay at home but feel connected during this time.

From Marilyn Monroe to Audrey Hepburn, social media users have been getting creative and have, so far, delivered some pretty impressive results. From turning pyjamas into on-screen looks to simply donning red lips and famous cat-eye flicks, you can go as big or as minimal as you like.

Once you’ve decided which film star you want to recreate, all you have to do is take a photo of yourself, in as similar stance and look to your chosen picture as possible, and upload it to Instagram or Twitter alongside the hashtag #hollywoodathomechallenge.

Here are some of the best attempts so far …

This is just the latest social media challenge to capture imaginations during lockdowns around the world.

The 'Getty Challenge' has seen people recreate famous works of art at home, while the 'Me at 20' challenge tasks people with digging out their old pictures of themselves aged 20, providing some great celebrity throwbacks.
