John Abraham can't seem to stay away from the UAE. The Bollywood star, who is currently recovering from a knee injury, will head to Dubai for the second schedule of Neeraj Vora's comedy Hera Pheri 3 after shooting action sequences for Rohit Dhawan's drama Dishoom in Abu Dhabi in February.
Hera Pheri 3, the third movie in the popular Hera Pheri franchise, is due out late next year and also features Paresh Rawal, Abhishek Bachchan and Neha Sharma.
Shooting was to resume this month in Dubai, but has been put back until next year so that the actor can give priority to his much-delayed Dishoom schedule.
The first round of Hera Pheri 3 filming in Dubai took place in April, when Abraham was joined by co-stars Bachchan and Sharma.
A “pizza scene” was shot in Zabeel Park, and there also appears to have been some shooting done around the Burj Khalifa.
Abraham is currently recording dialogue in Mumbai with his Dishoom co-star Varun Dhawan (he is the brother of the director).
Abraham, who is particularly fond of young Dhawan, said: “We hit it off immediately. I dote on Varun. We’re so close now; that chemistry will show. We’re like Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan. We are like hand and glove.”
The Dishoom schedule in Abu Dhabi will include scenes which were filmed at Yas Viceroy hotel on Yas Island and at Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium with the UAE cricket team.
