'Bharat' director gives first glimpse of UAE filming locations

Bharat director Ali Abbas Zafar confirmed in a tweet that Salman Khan's much-talked about upcoming film will indeed film in Abu Dhabi, even suggesting that the cast and crew will fly in any day now.

Abbas tweeted "All set for Abu Dhabi, next destination..." giving a sneak peek perhaps of where they will be shooting in the UAE:

While we can't tell exactly where the photos in the tweet are taken (at first we thought it looked like Hatta or Ras Al Khaimah) maybe Bharat will be shooting in Al Ain.

Bharat is an adaptation of Korean film An Ode to My Father and is being produced by Salman's brother-in-law Atul Agnihotri and Reel Life Productions.

Priyanka Chopra, who was due to star along Salman, dropped out following her engagement to Nick Jonas. Her role will be filled by Katrina Kaif. Salman quashed rumours that he was angry over Chopra dropping out, and tweeted that he was happy Kaif would be stepping in.

Bharat has been filming in Malta, and will reportedly shoot in Spain and parts of New Delhi and Punjab.

This will be the second time that the trio of Khan, Kaif and Abbas have worked on a film in Abu Dhabi. In 2017 they spent 65 days shooting smash hit Tiger Zinda Hai here.
