Demi Lovato, Tove Lo, Mike Posner and Alessia Cara are the next bunch of big names to be included as part of RedfestDSB.

The pop stars form the main programme for the second of the two day festival held at the Dubai Media City Ampitheatre on February 2-3.

They join the already announced acts: RnB star Chris Brown, Aussie pop duo The Veronicas and American up-and-comer Daya.

Lovato, who first made her name as a children’s television star — having appeared in Walt Disney’s Camp Rock in 2008 — has been focusing on her music over the last few years.

With hits including Give Your Heart a Break and Heart Attack, the 24-year-old arrives in Dubai on the back of her latest release, last year's fifth album Confident featuring the current hit of the same name.

After a confident performance in her regional debut as part of last year's Beats on the Beach in Abu Dhabi, 28-year-old Swedish singer Tove Lo returns to the UAE with a bigger profile thanks to her collaboration with Coldplay on their 2015 track Fun.

Another artist to benefit from her link to the British group is Alessia Cara. The 20-year-old Canadian has spent most of the year supporting Coldplay on their massive North American stadium tour.

The Wild Things singer will perform tracks from her acclaimed debut album Know It All, which in a January album review The National praised for contributing "something distinctive in what is an increasingly saturated and bland pop scene."

Folk pop singer Mike Posner rounds off the bill by performing tracks from his recently released new album At Night, Alone.

Since launching in 2014, RedFestDXB remains the region only out and out pop music festival and has featured big names such as Fifth Harmony, Jessie J, Tinie Tempah and Mark Ronson.

Tickets are available today (Wednesday September 28) for Virgin Megastore members only, with general sales available on Thursday from ticketmaster.ae and all Virgin Mega Stores
