Islamic Museum hosts free pop-up exhibition throughout Abu Dhabi

Yas Mall, The Mall at WTCAD and Al Jimi Mall will display over 100 inspiring Islamic artefacts throughout Ramadan

The Islamic Museum has teamed up with multiple malls in Abu Dhabi to host pop up events that showcase the UAE's history: the malls involved include Yas Mall, The Mall at WTCAD and Al Jimi Mall in Al Ain.

The displays will feature more than 100 Islamic artefacts being shown, such as a special oil painting of Sheikh Zayed, the chair on which he used to sit, Qurans that date back thousands of years, and rare historical newspaper clippings.

The exhibitions will run throughout Ramadan.

The purpose of the exhibitions are to help keep cultural heritage alive, by providing an opportunity for visitors to witness the domains of heritage, archaeological and art collectibles as well as offering an intriguing look at the UAE's past.

Entry into the exhibition is free and runs from May 15 until June 4.
