Some of the region’s leading instagrammers were given first access to Art Dubai this year to take part in a growing movement called #empty. The idea is to explore art spaces after hours, to give people a different perspective. The movement began in New York in 2013 and made its Middle Eastern debut at Dubai Design Week in October. For Art Dubai, 25 creative and artistic instagrammers were invited to enter the fair at 7am on the first day and shoot the gallery halls and other spaces before anyone had visited. The results can be seen on Instagram under the hashtag #emptyartdubai and on this post, I have put some of my favourite.
