Ulysse Nardin unveils a new tourbillon

Ulysse Nardin has officially launched one of its latest watches in the region, the Executive Skeleton Tourbillon.

Contrary to the moniker, however, the timepiece is actually an exercise in parred-down design. The tourbillon, placed on the skeletonised dial, sits quietly at 6 o’clock. Light and discreet, the tourbillon becomes a focal point, while exposing the movement, not only showcasing the extreme skill of the watchmakers, but allowing the mechanism itself to become the decoration.

The hour markers have been reduced to four roman numerals, held within a geometric frame, and all is housed in a lightweight titanium case that surprisingly measures in at 45mm in diameter.
