Some of fashion's famed designers and personalities are featured in the latest Swarovski campaign, titled Brilliant Inspiration and shot by internationally celebrated photographer, Tim Walker.
The eight brilliant stars are symbols of artistic talent, and include ready-to-wear designer Mary Katrantzou, accessories designer Charlotte Olympia and model Karlie Kloss. Each fashion personality had their portrait creatively staged and styled, and shot by Tim Walker.
Katrantzou, for example, is pictured with a decadent dress in hand, with Swarovski crystals and a pair of scissors on the table. “Every print comes to life more vividly with Swarovski crystals,” she says.
Olympia, who is known for her tongue-in-cheek depictions of fairytales and pop icons, wears bunny ears and a choker in her portrait. “I believe more is more. Every woman loves a shoe covered in sparkling Swarovski crystals,” she says.
Kloss, meanwhile, is shown covered in crystals — on her body, and hair too. “When you wear products with Swarovski crystals you feel like you’re illuminated — like you truly shine,” she says. Kloss is also the new face of Swarovski’s consumer campaign.
Other individuals featured in the Brilliant Inspiration portraits are W magazine's Edward Enninful, make-up artist Isamaya Ffrench, designers Thom Browne, Jason Wu, and Kate and Laura Mulleavy of Rodarte.
“Brilliant Inspiration is the perfect title for this portrait exhibition,” says Markus Langes-Swarovski, from the executive and advisory board of the Swarovski Group. “It’s a fantastic visual representation of Swarovski’s symbiotic relationships with the world’s top design talents. Swarovski crystals are made with passion, perfection and expertise, and we are so proud that it inspires these modern icons, enabling collaborations that produce a brilliant creative alchemy.”
Though the campaign doesn’t officially launch until September, you can grab an early view of the images in the gallery above.
