"We should all be feminists" was the empowering message that Maria Grazia Chiuri paraded across the runway at her debut spring/summer 2017 runway show for Christian Dior.
Tulle, corset-inspired bodices and barefaced logos were accompanied by bold blazers and slogan T-shirts. But what stood out most on the runway were the intricately embroidered tales spun onto sheer dresses.
For our Luxury magazine March fashion shoot, titled Love, lost, we were privileged to have one of these dresses on set. In a head-to-toe Christian Dior outfit, our model, Iuliia, wore the dress with a trench coat and black flats, complete with white "J'adior" ribbon. Necklaces from Parisian jewellery brand Akillis completed her look.
While the embroidered dress, speckled with beautiful beadwork, is out-of-budget for most of us, if there’s one brand to buy into this season, it’s Dior. Whether it’s a clutch, pumps or slides, the accessories flaunting the catchy “J’adior” text are at the top of our luxury shopping lists for summer.
