Love me do, do, do

Sir Paul McCartney's "low-key" third wedding on Sunday suggests that once again, he is finding love to be such an easy game to play. Mind you, by low-key, media reports meant with a crowd of fans camping outside a London registry office for hours, and photographers and news teams from around the world present to capture the moment.

After the couple had said their love me dos, they and 100 guests retired to McCartney's home in St John's Wood for a banquet, vegetarian needless to say, organised by his fashion designer daughter Stella.

McCartney, who will play Yas Island on the final night of the Abu Dhabi Formula One Grand Prix weekend in November, has been married twice before: first to long-time partner Linda Eastman, and then, less happily, to Heather Mills.

This wedding day had nostalgic links to his glorious past, with Beatles drummer Ringo Starr and his actress wife Barbara Bach on hand. Sunday would have been John Lennon's 71st birthday.

Macca will surely be hoping that with this latest union his long and winding road has finally reached a happy destination.

"I feel absolutely wonderful," the happy groom said as he made his way home for the reception.

A hard day's night of partying surely followed.
