If you've seen the first Zoolander movie, you'll understand the obsession about anti-ageing, and about appearing "ridiculously good looking," a catchphrase used by main character Derek Zoolander. Played by Ben Stiller, Zoolander is a male fashion model who is forced into retirement after being replaced by a younger, newer face. As the film's official beauty brand, Kiehl's celebrates the release of Zoolander No. 2 with a line of gift boxes that house a selection of iconic Kiehl's products.
"We are thrilled to partner with Derek in the release of his latest film Zoolander No. 2," says Cheryl Vitali, general manager of Kiehl's worldwide. "Derek has always expressed a great passion for having ridiculously good-looking skin so we felt it was a natural fit to collaborate with him in launching limited edition Kiehl's x Zoolander2 sets for men and women," she says.
The gift box for women, titled The Ridiculously Youthful Collection, includes Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate, Daily Reviving Concentrate and Super Multi Corrective Cream. The brand’s Facial Fuel Moisturizer, Cleanser and Heavy Lifting Eye Repair are housed in The Blue Kiehl Men’s Collection.
Both boxes are brightly coloured, and feature peppy graphics with Derek Zoolander’s signature poses. They will be available in stores starting February 24. Some outlets will even have life-size Zoolander cut-outs for customers to snap photos with.
