Members of the press were given a preview of the autumn/winter 2015 collection from Swedish clothing brand COS yesterday at A4 Space in Al Quoz, Dubai. While temperatures outside were depressingly scorching, inside the show space was a stark contrast of serenity and optimism. Racks of new season designs were lined against the back wall, showcasing pieces that incorporated luxe minimalism with a Japanese-inspired touch.
Dramatic flared culottes, and kimono-like coats comprised key pieces of the collection. Interesting cuts, fluid-yet-structured silhouettes and a mild palette of colours combined to exude vibes that were progressive, classic and innovative at the same time. Feminine dresses and knits with hints of androgyny appear in periwinkle pastels and smooth camel tones, while an on-trend zippered cape is designed in emerald green. Ballooned quilting techniques are featured on camping-inspired coats in white and blue, and a grey coat with exaggerated lapels makes a stand as a key autumn/winter staple.
The COS autumn/winter 2015 collection will start trickling into stores in the coming weeks.
