Atelier Cologne, the first house to exclusively create colognes, has unveiled a new scent.
The new fragrance, named Rose Anonyme Extrait, contains 22 per cent concentration of essential oils — the same as pure perfume — which means it will linger on the skin longer than any Eau de Toilette.
With top notes of Turkish Rose essence, sparkling bergamot, and Chinese pink pepper, the scent flows into a heart of Turkish Rose absolute, Somalian incense and velvet oud. Grounded by a base of patchouli, papyrus from India, and Haitian vetiver, this fragrance is sensual and multifaceted.
The bottle, although very simple in shape, is rose gold in colour, and comes with a leather carrying case that can be engraved with initials or a message.
The word cologne seems misleading here, as the new fragrance is actually for women. Though the word cologne has come to signify masculine scents, it technically refers to the concentration of essential oils used in the ingredients — usually between two to four per cent.
Rose Anonyme Extrait is available in vaporising spray of 100ml and 200ml.
