JERUSALEM // Two Palestinians were shot dead in separate incidents in the occupied West Bank on Friday, one by the Israeli security forces and another by a Jewish settler.

At least 101 Palestinians have been killed since the start of last month, according to the Palestinian Maan news agency. Nineteen Israelis have been killed in the same period.

One of the Palestinians was shot dead near the city of Hebron, after the military claimed he slammed his car into a group of Israeli soldiers, wounding six. The dead man was named by Maan as 19-year-old Omar Arafat Issa Al Zaaqiq.

A few hours earlier, another Palestinian was shot dead by a Jewish settler after allegedly ramming his car into Israeli soldiers at a bus stop near the Kfar Adumim settlement. Two Israeli soldiers were wounded in that incident.

The killed Palestinian, named by Maan as Fadi Muhammad Mahmoud Khasib, 25, was the brother of a man who on Sunday had been shot dead in a similar incident nearby.
